Am Samstag fand in München der erste “Pro-westliche Heimatabend” statt. Für den “CAMPO-News-Blog” nahm Daniel L. Schikora an der Veranstaltung teil.

[I want to blog about this so that my American readers know that there are some very serious German people who find the popular, elite and media opinions of the United States (and the West) to be offensive and — most importantly — damaging to Germany itself.]
Here’s a little riddle: what do you call 70 pro-Western Germans in one room? A frickin miracle!
And the miracle happened this last weekend in Munich at the inaugural Pro-Westliche-Heimatabend (PWHA) (Pro-Western Evening), a gathering of pro-West (i.e., freedom-oriented, not-anti-American) German bloggers and friends. If I read everybody’s reviews correctly, I believe this first PWHA was hosted by Enno Dittmar of the Mimus Vitae blog. Among the others who showed up were…
• Joachim of the antibuerokratieteam.de blog, who titles his review of the evening “Die Protokolle der Weisen vom Nockherberg” (“The Protocols of the Elders of Nockherberg”, Nockherberg being the place in Munich where the evening’s get-together took place.)
• Daniel Schikora of the Campo News-Blog.
• Karin Quade, she of the wonderfully-written anti-anti-americanism.com.
• Michael Miersch, who has a weekly column in Die Welt with Dirk Maxeiner. Together with Maxeiner and others, Miersch formed a publicity network named Die Achse des Guten (the Axis of Good). His online diary entry about the Pro-Western Evening is titled “Ich war dabei” (“I was there.”)
• Stefan Herre of the Politically Incorrect blog. His posting about the evening features the German and US flags flying together.
• Ch.Arm of the Brushfires of Freedom blog. His posting about the evening is titled “Verschwörung am Nockherberg” (Conspiracy at Nockherberg).
• Martin Hagen of martin-hagen.de, whose posting includes photos.
